Jsme rodinné nakladatelství vedené otcem a synem. Navazujeme na tradici založenou roku 1996 pod značkou Barrister & Principal, od roku 2017 působíme společně a pod vlastním jménem.
Vydáváme knihy napříč žánry – od původní tvorby po překlady, od beletrie po odborné tituly. Nehrajeme na počet vydaných titulů, ale na jejich smysl a kvalitu. Vybíráme si jen ty rukopisy, za kterými si sami stojíme.
Nakladatelství držíme v malém týmu. Od prvního čtení rukopisu přes redakci a grafiku až po expedici zásilek děláme vše sami. Každé knize věnujeme péči, kterou bychom sami očekávali jako čtenáři.
About us
We are a family-run publishing house led by a father and son. We build on a tradition founded in 1996 under the name Barrister & Principal; since 2017 we have been working together under our own name.
We publish books across genres – from original works to translations, from fiction to non-fiction. We do not focus on the number of titles we publish, but on their meaning and quality. We choose only those manuscripts we truly stand behind.
We operate as a small team. From the first reading of a manuscript through editing and design to shipping the finished books, we handle everything ourselves. We devote to each book the care we would expect as readers.

Wir sind ein familiengeführter Verlag, geleitet von Vater und Sohn. Wir knüpfen an eine Tradition an, die 1996 unter dem Namen Barrister & Principal gegründet wurde; seit 2017 arbeiten wir gemeinsam unter unserem eigenen Namen.
Wir veröffentlichen Bücher verschiedenster Genres – von Originalausgaben bis zu Übersetzungen, von Belletristik bis zu Sachbüchern. Nicht die Anzahl der Titel steht für uns im Vordergrund, sondern ihr Sinn und ihre Qualität. Wir wählen nur Manuskripte aus, hinter denen wir selbst stehen.
Wir arbeiten als kleines Team. Von der ersten Lektüre eines Manuskripts über Redaktion und Gestaltung bis hin zum Versand übernehmen wir alles selbst. Jedem Buch widmen wir die Sorgfalt, die wir uns selbst als Leser wünschen.
